Future Plan
Master plan of Saadiyat Island includes development of a smart community with cultural districts, marinas and residential areas. One important aspect of the design effort is sustainability. In addition to requiring high urban density and e-mass transportation systems, the master plan seeks to restore the destroyed mangrove and beachfront habitats, combine a variety of community and educational institutions, and offer homes for a wide range of income levels. Over the course of 15 years, the island's full development will be phased in.
